From the ashes of Wolfsheim, we wake up in a different world.
Track will be released August 28, listen beforehand in our preview link.
Markus Reinhardt, the founder of Echo Award-winning, Gold & Platinum-selling Wolfsheim, reinvents himself in a new, personal project: Renard.
Reinhardt lit up the German charts with Wolfsheim releases such as ‘Spectators’ (1999), which reached # 2, and ‘Casting Shadows’ (2003), which # 1 and saw them winning the ‘Best Alternative Domestic Band’ gong at the prestigious Echo Music Prize national awards ceremony in 2004.
According to the musician “The end of Wolfsheim motivated me to reinvent myself. A process that was urgently needed. With Renard, I'm more with myself," he states, the upcoming release, entitled 'Waking Up In A Different World' is an album that "combines the sound and mood of the 80’s with the stylistic devices of today" and will be available on October 09.
We had the opportunity to listen to the first single “Travel in Time”, which will be released August 28, and we are glad to say that the track is a brilliant synthpop that fits perfectly with the special timbre of Pascal Finkenauer (JAW) voice, and will please old Wolfsheim fans as well as gather new ones.
